Indian Foundation of Advanced Cardiovascular Interventions

About IFACI

The Indian Foundation of Advanced Cardiovascular Interventions (IFACI) is a charitable trust established in 2018 with a mission to advance treatment of cardiac patients in India with a focus on most complex patients and high-risk heart diseases. IFACI is committed to the education, training, research, and innovation required to treat patients who have traditionally been considered inoperable or undertreated due to high-risk association with the severity or complexity of their cardiac conditions.

The Foundation is focused towards creating a robust and inclusive platform that brings together interventional cardiologists, researchers, allied professionals, and policymakers to improve procedural outcomes, build scientific validation, and promote scientific evidence-based exchange of knowledge and expertise in the treatment of complex cardiac and structural diseases.

About ‘CHIP-CTO India’

CHIP-CTO India is the flagship annual scientific meeting of IFACI, launched in 2019 as a pioneering platform for advancing the field of Complex and High-Risk Indicated Procedures (CHIP) and Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO) in interventional cardiology. Conceived by Dr. Ashok Seth and the National & International renowned Course Directors, the program was envisioned to address the growing need for specialized expertise in managing high-risk coronary interventions and patients with complex comorbidities.

From its inception, CHIP-CTO India has evolved into one of the largest interventional cardiology meetings in South Asia, bringing together globally renowned experts, young interventionalists, and technology leaders to share best practices, innovations, and real-world experiences.

VISION

To be the foremost organization in transforming cardiovascular care and improving outcomes for our heart patients in India by empowering healthcare providers and patients with updated knowledge, science, expertise, indigenous research, and innovations.

Mission

  • To establish a dedicated platform for enhancement of expertise in complex and high-risk coronary interventions through high-impact up to date knowledge sharing, case-based practical learning, simulation and hands-on training for new techniques and technologies through national and international experts

  • To initiate and support collaborative multidisciplinary clinical research, real-world data registries, outcome studies and consensus statements that result in overcoming local management challenges and improving outcomes of complex coronary artery disease in Indian and Asian populations.

  • To create a forum for interaction between Indian and international experts for exchange of knowledge, mentorship, and adoption of global best practices contextualised for the Indian healthcare systems.

  • To support the treatment of economically disadvantaged patients who need advanced treatment and, through foundation initiated multilevel philanthropy.

  • To establish dedicated multidisciplinary centres of excellence for treatment of complex coronary artery disease, acute Myocardial Infarction, heart failure and cardiogenic shock management to deliver the best outcomes to this extremely high-risk patient groups.

Message from the Course Directors

The Indian Foundation of Advanced Cardiovascular Interventions (IFACI) was founded with a singular mission—to transform the treatment of complex cardiovascular disease through innovation, education, and collaboration. Recognizing the growing need for specialized expertise in complex and high-risk indicated coronary interventions (CHIP), we launched CHIP-CTO India in 2019 as a dedicated platform to advance knowledge, refine expertise, master advanced techniques & technology and foster global partnerships and exchange.

Since its inception, CHIP-CTO India has grown into a premier scientific meeting of southeast Asia, attracting interventional cardiologists, pioneering experts, and technology leaders from across the world. Through its immersive, case-based approach, the meeting serves as a ‘learning & sharing experience’ for cutting-edge advancements in complex PCI, hybrid CTO strategies, hemodynamic support, and imaging-guided interventions to improve outcomes for our patients.

At its core, CHIP-CTO India is more than just a conference - it is a movement. It is a place where science meets interventional practice, where experience meets the gen X and where mentors meet the influencers of the future.

As we prepare for CHIP-CTO India 2026, scheduled from January 30 to February 1, 2026, in New Delhi, we reaffirm our commitment to pushing the boundaries of interventional cardiology. We invite you to be part of this journey - a journey of education, excellence, and expertise all dedicated to improving patient outcomes in our most complex cases.
